7 Steps to Changing Your Mindset

So do you really believe that you worthy enough to go after your dreams?  Are you brave enough to take the first step?

Could you be willing –

Would you be willing –

Will you be willing –

A new day, a new month gives a new start.  We can achieve all of our goals and dreams.

We can take each new day, each new month to frame what type of day, week, a month we want to have.  And this starts with our mindset.

Everything we want to be, do and have in our life is first changed by our mindset.

Are you willing to change your mindset?

Are you brave enough to do that?

Will you give your life your soul work?

Will you fully embrace your art?

Will, you fully follow your soul

The beat of your heart.

To truly just be who you are?

Or will continue to make excuses for why you haven’t listened to your soul?

Why you haven’t fully embraced the gifts and talents that God has given you?

I am too busy

I am not ready

I got side-tracked with marriage and kids

I too once believed all of that.

I also believe that I had very valid excuses. I mean I have 6 kids. And a husband who we all know needs way more attention than the kids.

I totally thought that I had to do this first, and I had to do that in order to get what I wanted.

I have been there.

Then one day I saw a woman who, like me was on the internet smiling and living the life I wanted and she had 10 kids with one on the way!

I was blown away! Like really?

I saw a pathic excuse of having 6 kids float away as the clouds carried it away.

I know the extremely valid excuses you have are ones you hold on too tightly because deep down you are afraid and you feel unworthy.

But the thing is you are here to make a difference in the world

God gave you your gifts and talents to use to glorify his world.

You have a massage deep down inside of your soul that you are to use to change the world.

So how do you begin to step out in faith and know that this is what you were meant to be, have and do in life?

How do you start to go after and get your dream life?

When we focus on God when we know without a shadow of doubt that he created us for more.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, and what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

If there has been a dream or goal that has been on your soul for a long time then you know this is from God.

So if there is a goal you want to achieve by the end of the year or next you first must accept that you have to change your mindset.

If you are not where you want to be then you are not thinking about the right things.

Listen to Your Soul

When you have dreams and goals that don’t unfold the way you want you may be wondering how you can change which is why I am guessing you are reading this book. You wanted to know what you can change.

Here is the thing … you don’t need to change in the normal sense of changing, you don’t have to check off boxes of your to-do list in order change.  You don’t have to do this thing or that thing in order to change your mindset.

What we need to do is look inside to own soul.  And listen to our soul because it knows the way.


There Are No Limits:

See the thing is from the time you were born to the time now you have had so many life experiences and emotional milestones that were not producing the outcomes you wanted.

So this put in your mind limiting beliefs, fear, self-doubt.

Did you know that we have an average of 65,000 thoughts go through our mind each and every day?

Think about we have thoughts from the time we wake and the alarm clock goes off…

Ug it morning already…. I don’t’ want to get up …. Ok 5 more minutes … Oh God, I have to go to work at a job I don’t like … and that I don’t like will there and I have to work with him today…. Coffee.  Coffee… I need coffee…,. Oh, are we out of coffee… that’s Ok I will just get some on the way out … wait I don’t have enough money to get a coffee… I should be saving it…. I hate the place I live in and I need to save money so I can move out …. Oh, the traffic why is always so bad ….

See all the negative thoughts there and really that is just the tip of the ice burg of all the negative self-talk we do to ourselves all day long.

We all know that voice.

So start PAYING ATTENTION to that voice. Start listing to what it saying and when it saying all the negative stuff.  Taking notes of this is a huge step to Queenhood because you can’t change what you don’t acknowledge.

Flip the Switch:

Ok so know that you know when and what kind of negative thoughts you are having during the day you need a way to stop them. Which I totally know is way easier said than done.  But they really are truly holding you back.

So you need to flip the switch.

When your negative thoughts start to creep up on you, like you want to work out more to lose weight and your thought pattern jumps in with all kinds of excuses Like your to tired, it won’t help you will still be fat after your workout…then you must flip the switch.

Write down your negative thought and cross it out. Watch as you cross this negative thought out then write down a positive thought.

I have more than enough energy to get through a workout …

The more I move the more weight I lose

Then go and put on your yoga pants and workout


So as we both know changing your mindset is not going to be the easiest thing to do, this is because it has become formed habits that are not easy to break.

So must know why you are doing this why you want to change?

Why you now going to listen to your soul and do things differently.

This is different for everyone but with the working out… are you doing it to lose weight?

Are you doing it to be more healthy?

Are doing to it be more confident?

Each one of us is going to be different on their why, but I want you to know what you’re why is and put it in the forefront of your mind.

This will help when the negative thoughts try to keep coming back in.

It’s not your lack of Motivation.

We all see it and I am guilty of it to posting cute little memes about Motivation Monday’s but the reality it takes way more than just Motivation and willpower to change your mindset.

For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:24-28


So the thing about motivation is motivation starts when we write down our why but this not going to get us to our goals.

When set out to lose weight we are all strong on the first day we resisted the Girl Scout cookies but the second day we are reaching for two or more of those cookies.

This has to do with our willpower.

Our willpower is something that does run out.

We don’t’ have infinite about of willpower. It is a fuel tank that needs to be refueled regularly.

People who are successful and high achievers know this.  They know that this happens, this is why in this step is just about recognition this is, recognizing that achieving your goals isn’t about white-knuckling your way to success.  Working Hard is not the way to success.

By accepting this a truth, you will stop punishing yourself for failing to follow your plan –

Which is truly joyously awesome because when you let go of that stress of being the perfect one and the one who all there s*** together allows you to get up and try again.


Ok so you are ready to listen to your soul and just get into the flow of how your life is truly to be, you are all gung-ho and ready, but really let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves because really it may sound a little out there but the best way to change your mindset is to start off in small little pieces.

Decide that your little goals are the minimum of what you want to do each day to improve yourself and your mindset.

Working out- start out by saying to yourself that you are going to just to it for 10 minutes and see what happens.

With Love – focus on one little thing like a kiss or getting your honey a glass of what and see what that does to your love life.

Let me tell it is totally ok to start out small and not do everything at once.

God made everything in the world but on the first day, he only made two things: the Light and the Dark. So think about that.

Over time, when you consistently do the small steps your goals will start looking closer and closer and you will be that much closer to your dream life.

The “F” Word

If you follow the basics of changing your mindset and stay consistent with it you will achieve your goals.  However, I do have to point out one critical part ….


I know as hard as it is to admit you not hit your goals every single time.

People who are successful know how to be comfortable with FAILURE.

The big difference between people who reach their goals and those who don’t are the people who don’t meet their goals will give up.

They stop trying and give up.

While the Queen’s who know that they are going to get their dream to know that if they give up they will not achieve their goals. So they don’t give up.

They know that there is really no failure they either win or they learn.

They fall down, even give themselves permission to fall down.

They pick themselves back up from the missteps and they make the adjustments to help them keep going and down don’t stop until they achieve their dreams.


Remember You are the Daughter of the Most High God….
