New Here? Start Here…
If you are new and just stumbled across this post…I want to let you know what I do and why I do it.
I was in your place not so a long ago… (about 7 years ago) Wow, that doesn’t seem possible now. But really it does because I have been through a lot and have learned a whole lot in these last 7 years.
Let me take you back….
7 years ago this summer I was head over heels in love with a man who I thought I would marry. We met in our Christian’s Single Group. I had seen him around town a few times but never really got a chance to take with him. We hit it off right away and began the normal “Courting” and “Dating with a Purpose”. We started doing a Bible Study together and memorizing scripture together. AH, all was perfect, until it was not. After spending 4 months of falling in love we took a turn for the worst and began the on and off again cycle for almost a year. I spent a lot of time trying to make things better. Trying to work our relationship.
“If he could just see how awesome I was”.
Looking back on your life, it will always show you what you should have done.
I should have let him go the first time we went south.
But I was in Love.
I thought God finally brought me the man I was to marry.
So I let the relationship go on for too long until one night “the one” told me he wasn’t ready to get married.
I was devastated and ate more than a few bags of chips and dip than I care to admit.
But there is good news to this story….
I did cry for a few months but then at the first of the year in 2012. I did what any young 30 something looking for love did. I signed up for online dating.
Yep I took that plunge. I also dove into the word also and asked God what really do I need to be doing to find the love of my life.
I throw myself into the book of Esther and discovered a wealth of information about to act in life and how to act in a relationship.
I know as Christians this one on the best stories about how Queen Esther saved the Jews people and essentially saving Jesus’ Birth Line.
But if you put that story we all know so well on the shelf for a little bit and look at her life as a woman, then we can begin to see she is so much more and so much of how we can live our lives today like Queens.
So this really brings me to the first thing I am really for and really passionate about….
YOU CAN AND SHOULD BE LIVING EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE LIKE A QUEEN!!!YOU CAN AND SHOULD BE LIVING EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE LIKE A QUEEN!!! Click To Tweet
Yes, that is right you can become the Queen of Your Life.
You can live the life you dream of.
God gave you those dreams and desires.
So now is the time to go after them!
Second thing and one I am truly passionate about is:
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A SOUL MATE!!!
AGAIN GOD DID NOT CREATE ONE MAN FOR YOU!!!
It is not biblical to believe that there is one man for you and you are one woman for that man. No God created us to have a relationship with Him and Just like being the best “father” in the world He wants to have our hearts desires but no he didn’t create just one man for and if you believe that somehow you missed him and you are destined to walk this world alone then there is hope for you…
Which brings me to the Third thing I am most passionate about….
This one comes as a shocker
YOU CAN DATE MORE THAN ONE GUY AT TIME!!!
Yes, you better believe it!!
Now what I am not saying and telling you what to do is no this doesn’t’ mean you have sex with more than one guy.
But yes you can go on dates with more than one guy.
I am not a big fan of “Courting” or “Dating with a Purpose” I don’t believe this is how God wants us to really find the one we want to wake up next to every morning.
Now no matter what other relationship coaches tell you really can’t find true love in 90 days. Now 6 months is a more realistic picture. And dating more than a few guys will show you what you like and what you don’t like in a man. I know, I know what you are thinking my best-friends sister’s cousin met and married a guy on their first date. Yes I know I have heard all of those stories and I am not saying that it doesn’t happen and it could totally happen to you but in the meantime dating more than one guy and the magic number is really 3 at a time is the fastest and best way to find the man of your dreams. What it does is helps with your confidence level. It helps you weed out the losers right away. This helps you level up the type of men you are dating right now…really I could go on and on about this. You will have to sign up for one of my fabulous programs to learn exactly what to do and how to do it right. But let me tell you this will change the way you date forever and is totally how I got my now husband, who was coming out of his second divorce and swore that he would never get married again, to marry me and now we have altogether 6 beautiful children and living our dream life.
Now I am really positive and passionate person but there are two things that will get me fired up so fast…
The first one is:
“I am waiting on God to bring me the right man”
OH MY GOD really if there are a time and place to use that phrase it is now because this couldn’t be further from the truth.
NOWHERE in the Bible does it SAY GOD WILL BRING YOU A MAN.
So with that being said, if you have a strong desire to be married and it hasn’t happened yet then I hate to be the one to burst your bubble it is you.
For whatever reason, you are content to just stay where you are at and it has nothing to do with God.
If you are following God and seeking a true relationship with Him and still have this desire then God will open up doors for you. Yes, I do believe He will open and close doors that need to be opened and closed but you have to do your part. You have to get up put some makeup and go out!
OK so now comes to the only other thing I am truly passionate about ready for this one?
YOU CAN’T WORK AT A RELATIONSHIP TO MAKE IT BETTER!
I know shocker right. We have heard our whole lives that we need to work at our marriages in order to save them.
Now for the truth about men.
They don’t want you to work at the relationship.
No, they really don’t. Hear me out…every time my husband and I have an argument, “intense fellowship” as my husband calls it, I step back. I go to God first spend time in prayer. I take care of the kids, I write, I journal, I go and do a load of laundry…I go and do a million other things.
What I don’t do is sit and figure out how I can work on my marriage.
I take the time to focus on me. What I need and what I need to do to change me.
I change my mindset about the events that are happening in my life.
I wait for my husband to come to me. I draw him back to me.
He will then be ready to talk and be sorry for what happened.
We will then become closer to each other.
I learned this from Queen Esther. I am in awe of she handled a life and death situation. Like literally a whole entire nationality was on her shoulders. And she we went in like a confident Queen and waited for her man to come to her.
Now, are there areas of my life that I can improve on?
Oh yeah, there are but that is between me and God.
I pray for God to help me become the wife and mother he created me to be.
Now can I change my husband and talk about his issues for hours on end and work on our marriage?
You can’t change anyone, including your husband, boyfriend or the guy you met at the coffee shop.
The only person you can change is yourself.
So when I say you can’t work on your marriage I mean you can’t go and talk about your problems or try to change him.
Or do nice things for him. You will just end up pushing him away.
Now that you know what I am more about you. I would love to hear from you… what do you stand for? What do stand against? In dating and marriage, I would love to hear from you…
Remember You are the Daughter of the Most High God!
